docstoc is back

docstoc is back — and better than ever.

The original docstoc (and its video sibling, docstoctv) shut down years ago. docstoc is back with the same kind of free business, legal, and how-to document library — plus something the original never had.

What docstoc's free template library covers

  • Business: LLC operating agreements, one-page business plans, and more.
  • Legal: Mutual NDAs, formal demand letters, and other routine legal documents.
  • Real Estate: Residential lease agreements and lease termination notices.
  • Finance: Promissory notes and expense reimbursement requests.
  • HR: Offer letters and written warning / disciplinary notices.

Bundled document kits

Instead of hunting for one document at a time, docstoc also bundles related templates into kits for common situations.

US Small Business Starter Kit → LLC operating agreement, business plan, and NDA. Independent Landlord Kit → Lease agreement and lease termination notice. Collections & Lending Kit → Demand letter and promissory note.

FAQ

What happened to the original docstoc?

The original docstoc was a document-sharing site (with a companion video site, docstoctv) founded in 2007 that grew to over 20 million documents before Intuit acquired it for roughly $50M in December 2013 and shut it down on December 1, 2015. Today's docstoc.io is a new, independent product built by RELACON GmbH — not affiliated with or a continuation of the original company — reviving the free-template idea under the same name.

Is docstoc back in 2026?

Yes — docstoc is back with a free document template library covering similar ground (business, legal, real estate, finance, and HR templates), all free to copy with no signup, plus a free document verification/certification tool the original docstoc never had.

Are docstoc's templates reviewed by professionals?

Some are — templates submitted by a lawyer or accountant and approved with a verified-expert credential are marked as such. Others are general-purpose starting drafts. Always review any legal or financial document with a licensed professional before relying on it.
