*A sea trial and independent marine survey (Section 2) before finalizing a boat purchase is standard practice for good reason — hull, engine, and electrical issues on a used vessel are often expensive to fix and not obvious from a dockside look, so this contingency is worth insisting on regardless of how much the seller vouches for the boat's condition.*
